	Catarina works as a PhD student in the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Portugal), in close collaboration with the University of Murcia (Spain). She has been studying the insect community (focusing on Diptera and Coleoptera) and patterns of succession in carcasses from her geographical area. Catarina is biologist and member of EAFE since 2003.

	Luc works since 1997 in the laboratory Microtraces of the INCC, the Belgian national forensic institute. This lab analyzes various types of traces from natural origin (human and animal hair, plants, diatoms,…) and of course has activities in forensic entomology. In this field, the lab shares its time between casework and applied scientific research.
